Gabriel Gould is a pianist and composer.  He studied composition at the University of Michigan (D.M.A., M.M.), Bard College (B.A.), and Simon’s Rock College of Bard (A.A.).  Gabriel has taught music at Juniata College, Hamilton College, Indiana University South Bend, and the Ithaca College London Center.  Gabriel's compositions include works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, chorus, voices, and more recently centers on electroacoustic works that feature field recordings and keyboard improvisations.  He has received commissions from Glimmerglass Opera, the Albany Symphony, the Dogs of Desire, and the New York Youth Symphony, among other organizations.  Gabriel is also an active performer and improviser.  Born in New York City and raised in upstate New York, Gabriel now lives and works in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, where he is an Instructor at Juniata College.
